Niche site SEO question

Hi

Atm my niche site is ranking for one kw in G. Now I want to rank for another new kw which is included in a fresh post on the niche site. The first kw is devided through the site over multiple pages/posts. The new fesh kw is only on 1 or 2 posts.

When I try to rank the new kw:

- Is it necessary to do the same link building campaign for te fresh post as I did for the first kw? Or will it rank automatically for the new kw since the niche site is already indexed and ranking for one kw?

- What url should I build links with ; fresh kw + www.nichesite.com/fresh-post or just frsh kw + www.nichesite.com

As with anything SEO, it depends on who you ask. But I'd say yes, you should run another link building campaign. Just because your site is indexed doesn't mean G will think you are an authority on your new keyword right away. Link again is a thing of taste, I like to have the new keyword at least linked from the homepage and push my home URL.

Yes, Of course you have to do link building for the new keyword. It is good to have number of quality backlinks. Just go for it.

Think of new post as your new site, do all the things you have done to rank your 1st post. Build authority links to your new keyword, pass as much juicy links as you can. Allthough it provide some help to your new post as your site is already indexed & ranked for 1st keyword but you have to work more to rank it.

Of course you should build link like this :- fresh kw + nichesite / fresh-post. It will help getting rank easily coz you are using your keyword in url also.

Build backlinks for both URLs with that keyword and also variations of that keyword. As you rank for one keyword already and now you want to go for another one, you should build links not only to the pages you want to rank but also to the root domain. This will strengthen authority and will help you stay up in the ranking for longer time. Remember, because you rank one keyword on SERPs doesn't mean you will stay there forever..

Nope dude.. How the new kw will rank without building links for them.. Continue as what you did for the first one and diversify them..
