If you nofollow external links it stops your pages leaking link juice. This is best practice for SEO

Didn't have the time to ask earlier, got a couple of questions since I've also been wanting to take a shot at this for quite a while now.

  1. What is your starting budget for the site? I get that if you have money you can invest $1000s, but more to the point - how do you determine your budget based on your goals and how likely you are to meet them?
  2. Since you have a lot of articles with little review pages, how do you plan your internal linking strategy? Are you writing good, detailed general articles for long tail kw that mention the products with no affiliate links, just ads, and internally linking to the review pages (for instance you review 5 products, link to the review page from the 5 big posts that went into greater detail first)?
  3. When you decide on doing guest post outreach, do you avoid sites that have linked to your competitors or do you actively persue them (or neither)?

Sorry for the slow reply, here are the answers.

1 : Not sure what my budget is at the moment. I am only spending money on articles. I plan to buy 10 articles a month at the moment. If the site starts to rank and make money I will buy more articles per month.
2. in every article I link to another related article on my site. I also have silos where I write a long article then link 2-10 articles to this long article.
3. I usually guest post on related sites found in fivver. I dont care if they have linked to competitors or not
 
Hi All, Quick update

Traffic is now picking up, I am getting 6-7 visitors a day.

I have reached my target of 50 articles written. Currently the site has 54 articles.

I am wondering if I am in the wrong niche? I have been reading recently that it is harder to rank in health niche these days because google wants the site to be more authoritative. Has anyone else seen this recently?

How do you check your keyword rankings, what tool or site you use? (if you don't mind telling me, of course)
If it is a paid tool or site, are there any free available options?

EDIT: Nevermind, just saw that you use the free trial of serprobot

So quick one, if I want to use Serprobot, I have to export all my keywords from GWT then add them to Serprobot right?

Congrats for your traffic in a short amount of time. If I may ask, how do you select an expired domain, I only get burned (find weird backlinks) when buying those

In your opinion, is a low DA, low backlinck expired better than a fresh one?
 
Hi all, need some help. I can not get my site approved for adsense, In my adsense it is saying "We’ve found some policy violations on your site which means that your site isn’t ready to show ads yet. Make sure your site follows the AdSense Programme Policies." I have gone through the policies and I have no idea what the issue is? Can anyone advise what I can do to get approved? details of my site are below

Niche = Health Product, similar to spot cream
Content = 50 x unique written content, all 1000 words plus
Pages = Site has about us, privacy, contact us

I am not an expert on this but I would say yes it is better than a fresh domain because you have an aged domain.
I just googled something like "seo things to check when buying an expired domain" I looked for

Age - Older the better
Links - were the links coming from related sites? Did the links look spammy? If yes stay away
Spam Links - I think it was MOZ that has a link spam rating
Trust Flow - again I think was Moz has a trust flow for the domain
Link text anchors - if you have brand name + general "click here" type anchors they are fine, If there are lots of anchors such as, "Jordan Shoes" "buy SEO links here" stay away again

It has been a very good month considering the site is only 2 month old. I have tried to get my site approved for adsense and so far I have not been approved. I have made a few changes to my site and I hope to get approved soon. If I can not get approved I will stop this case study and probably sell the site.

Current Month (October)
Search Engine Traffic = 170 +113
Pages In Google Index = 42 +14
Adsense Earnings = $0 (Waiting to get approved)
Affiliate Sales = 0
Total Articles = 50 +8

Last Month
Search Engine Traffic = 57
Pages In Google Index = 28
Adsense Earnings = $0
Affiliate Sales = 1 @ $1.35
Total Articles = 42

Write 10 x Articles | This is on hold until I get approved on adsense
Link building (Guest Posts) to main article | This is on hold until I get approved on adsense

Can you describe your process of guest posting and blog commenting? How do you find these websites for build linking? How do you find blogs, which allowed you to put your website's link in comment?

I buy guest posts from fiverr, I write a 500-600 word article then find related sites and buy 2-3 guest posts. Wait a few months then buy again from different sites if needed.

For blog comments I also buy related blog posts from fiverr

Are fiverr guest posts safe for the money site? Or do you use them for tier 2 links?
