Is it considered niche relevant if an article is niche relevant but the entire site is general?

Which is the better? A link within a niche relevant article and website or the above?

Is it slightly better or just so and so? thx!

If your article and links are niche relevant then you choose it. It will help to increase your traffic.

Both help, but as long as the link is surrounded by content that is relevant, you're good to go.

It is perfectly OK, if only the article is relevant to your website. This is quite common for websites that cover news as they have all sorts of niches represented in their blogs and all of the links placed there look just fine.

Niche relevant to your article and if the website is related to your website, and then you will reach your target audience within no time.

the best is niche website itself
second best is content should be in your niche (if website covers multiple niche)

A link from a relevant niche, will organically increase the visibility of the website, and provide a better user experience for your visitors, and also it will increase the quality of the links.

Both are fine.

You can take indepth as -

If only the article is niche relevant, you get 0.5 points out of 10for that link flow.

If the website is as well niche relevant and you get backlink from the full relevant article from one of them you get 0.8 ~ 0.9 points out of 1.

That too depends on OBL from that domain, link quality and other factors as you know.

Thats how i measure it for my self and it help a lot to me.

No-one knows what relevancy means exactly, so take all answers here with a pinch of salt.

My opinion (which may be wrong) is that Google looks at whether the page linking to you contains similar keywords (and references to entities) in its decision as to how much link juice to pass.

The topical relevancy of the majority of pages on the website linking to you (what you could call the domain of the website) is not so important, except in consideration of how much link juice is passed between those pages and the one that links to you.

If you read about Google, you'll see that most of the concepts it uses (such as those in its patents) are based on how individual pages are related to each other, not how a page is related to a domain name. A domain name is simply an address at which pages can be found. The content on the pages is what is important, not their address.

In other words, if your site is about cats and the page linking to you about cats, the link will transfer a lot of the link juice for that page. But the page itself won't have a lot of link juice transferred to it if every other internal link to it (from the domain its on) is from a page about nutritional supplements. So ideally you want a link from a topically relevant page that has links from other topically relevant pages (whether on the same website or on external websites).

I suggest trying it all so that you can choose whats best for you but both of them are useful so its up to you.

Yes it is.
same niche website, article, backlink
pro: easier to rank
cons: you are limited with the niche

General niche website, spesifc article,backlink
Pro: have more potential, since you are not limited with niche, and you can build it as Authority site
Cons: it's harder to rank
