Whats up you guys !

I was wondering how is the gaming niche? engagement?
i'm going to create this instagram account for one of my websites and i'm wondering if it's worth the time creating/maintaining a instagram account for a gaming niche youtube channel.

every niche is worth trying if you are willing to invest time and effort. Since you're really interested in your niche, I'd advice you to try it, just do it. Even if you end up not having a great amount of followers, I guess that gaming is a niche where less followers might do some really good job.

Just provide value, this applies to every niche.

PS: if you never try, you'll never know ;-)

Gaming niche is ass because gamers don't go on instagram. They play Xbox. They are also hard to monetize as they are smart enough to put their email in on a random site for CPA. lol

I had a friend experiment with this before and it didn't go well. But then again, he didn't put forward 110%. This is not to say that it won't go well for you, it all goes back to how much time and effort you implement into it.

Engagement within the gaming niche is sour occasionally. It highly depends on the platform and how viral the game is as well.

go for 9gaggers, fans of nintendo, theres all kinds of 3rd party toys and gadgets and personas in gaming.
find the gamer niche u want to target and just focus on that hardcore.

Never saw a big gaming IG page. In case your youtube channel is strong with millions of fan subscribers ready to buy some stuff with the signature of yours - IG could be a nice showcase for your merch tho

I would say the gaming niche is one of the most difficult in my opinion. It's hard to monetize, it's hard to get content. I would not go that way.

that honestly sounds pretty cool, if you provided good information and details as well as sneak peaks, you might get people to create instagram just for your page

Best engagement you'd get on Insta would probably be from younger guys (like 12-15) that like to watch Let's plays on Youtube instead of actually playing the game. Older teen gamers wouldn't be the kind of guys that have Insta accounts, not to mention they can often smell marketing BS from a mile away.
