Newb here still in theory mode learning away getting ready to start my 1st couple of projects 1 of which will be a blog. My question is, is it worth getting niche edit backlinks? I understand that these are likely 301's but if they are from sites like forbes etc. Surely they have some positive impact, Thank you all by the way for the vast amounts of knowledge on the forum, its a great place and I cant wait to start taking action and giving back to this amazing community.

As you can see I still have a long way to go lol, whats your experience with niche edits and 301's?
 
as per your experience 301 is not for you for now. If you can get some niche edits then it can help you to rank. Niche edits is straight and easy to the point.

Thanks for your help, im thinking of building a pbn as per the guide on here, will start a journey thread as soon as i get started and see how it goes, thanks again.

powerful niche edits that are getting traffic can help, but I would not rely solely on niche edits for rankings I would advise to mix them with other links.

secondly for pbns read @tiiberius guide, and I do hope you know what you’re doing by building a pbn!!!

@ Social these 'curated' link sellers say that they are from outreach etc. do you recon they are just covering their arses then?

It's a mixed bag.
Some curated link sellers will sell you hacked links, but some are doing real outreach and payments.
By the way, for obvious reasons, hacked links work. lol

Any pointers to good link sales threads on here? Newb question i know but it is my status right now lol, want to get started with this and put it to work, got a long way to go, do you recon its worth pushing the odd 'durated' link to a fresh site or work on content for a month before hand?

Well, I'm not sure how much content you have, but I would get a reasonable amount of it on there before you build any strong or potentially sketchy links.

Until then, I would build some other links, like social media, reddit, q/a websites, forums, or whatever else is relevant to your niche, as sometimes you would use other things such as citation links or even music upload sites. It depends what niche you are in, but try to place your links on as relevant websites as you can.

I would use mostly brand anchor and raw url anchor texts at first, and then when you start building more powerful links, you can add an LSI here and there.

Go slowly and build links over a time period, instead of all in one day.
