Hey guys,

What provides better SEO results:

Link insert in a few years old niche relevant article (with a couple or no keywords in top100)

or

Niche relevant guest post on that same website?


Let’s imagine that both articles have the same meta data, number of words, anchors etc.

never tested it but I'd say niche edits. But someone please correct me if I'm wrong!
 
Both but I think Guest post plays a vital role.

Big part of 2020 I used link inserts and I noticed that they gave me less effect comparing to guest posts, even tho the link inserts had sometimes a lot of good keywords in top100. I tried to diversify my anchor texts, etc. but maybe I did something wrong.

Let's say I inserted a link in a very relevant article but it is an old article from 2010. What would be my next step after insert? Submit it to Speed Links? I'm asking because I have a feeling that link inserts take MUCH LONGER to index than Guest Posts because most of them are super old articles. But G0ogle likes fresh content, not from 2010.

Please advice.
 
You'll get more juice for your money with niche edits because there is no cost of content but keep in mind Google can easily see 100 new links in content pointing to your website so it's best to mix both.
 
Niche edits are placed on indexed pages and are cheaper than a guest post, but use both for diversity.

Working with my personal experience, I've seen best results working with niche edits. GUEST POST approach is most preferred focusing on branding.

I've had much better success with guest posts.
Niche edits are not my favourite at all.

Link insert in a few (1-3) MONTHS old niche relevant article
(with a couple or no keywords in top100) is almost equal with a fresh new guest article on the same site.

Also, make a niche relevant guest post to the site.
But do seek for an authority domain for both.

What does “popular” mean? A couple of relevant keywords in top100 or more than that?

niche edits

however, if you have a client that you have helped and does not have any thing relevant to link back to you, then you can do a guest post and have him publish it. you will be amazed at the result, because it is from a real business website.
 
I mean quality backlink profile, represent the impact of a link from a website for a specific keyword.
