Hello,

After finding a good niche I always get stuck for weeks or even months choosing a good domain name. Please provide me suggestions how can I select a good domain name fast or how you guys select domain names.

Thanks.

yeah, it's one of my hurdles, too. Just a week ago I had to buy a domain name and I had to fry my brains for 3 days to find out something half decent. I wanted a branded / brandable domain name since I've been focusing on such domains over the last few years, so I really had to think intensively about a meaningful, short, catchy name.... and I still failed to find it lol. In the end, I have settled for a PMD (Partial Match Domain), that is half brandable half (main) keyword for that niche.

So anyway, in the past I used a website called namemesh.com but it seems to be gone and it's a pity because it has provided me with quite a few good names over the years. But otherwise, you'll have to think really hard about something short and meaningful to you, or for the niche you're in.

For example, if your name is John and you have a car shop, a good domain name would be johnscarshop.com (of course, this is anything but short and catchy but it's still brandable to some extent).

Or, some 8-9 years ago I had an affiliate website that was promoting a clickbank product about how to make beats, so - after a lot of thinking - I have settled on the justbeatit.net domain name. I don't remember why I didn't get the .com version, it's possible that at that time the .com may have been taken or - and this is also very possible knowing my old self - I figured that for such a niche and product the .net extension would have more appeal. But the point is that I had come up with the JustBeatIt and at that time it's been exactly what I needed for such a website.

Basically, you need to associate various (as short as possible, whenever possible) keywords, niche-specific words, or positive / happy emotions with your domain name if you want it to sound cool, be brandable and be remembered.

For example, if you're in the car niche words like car, auto, drive, etc will be good choices. Which reminds me of another affiliate website that I had a decade ago that was promoting car lights through Amazon Affiliates and the domain name I have come up with has been winkycar.com (pretty short and relevant to that niche, so a good domain name. But, being the lazy ass I've always been I had let the domain expire, so it's gone now)

Or if you're in the musical niche you could use words like music, song, sound, beat, etc... and associate one of these words with your name, a feeling, a popular interjection ;/ slang in that niche, whatever. You just have to get creative. I know that it takes time and effort but if you desperately want / need a domain name that people will remember you have to put the effort in
