Hey guys so I have found an amazon niche, and I was wondering if it would be wise to make a website dedicated to the niche.

For example:

If my niche is women's clothing

would it be better to:

A: Make a whole site about various parts of women's clothing i.e panties, bras shoes

B: Make single sites i.e a site on just bras, a site on just panties

Thanks for all your help!

Its up to you. If you have enough resources, budget and time then go with the Option A. Keep that in mind Authority sounds good but hard to achieve. So you need to invest your time here properly. Niche site works well if you don't have enough budget and resources. Time also needed here to work. Basically its completely up to you.

I have been dwelling on what you typed for the last 20 minutes or so. What I am thinking is that, I might aswell do the authority site as it allows me to be flexible and add more content over time.

So my question is: Apart from resources, time and budget, is there any reason I should pick single site niches over authority sites? In terms of rankings.

Thanks.

Long term projects require a long term SEO approach. This means not buying cheap PBN services and instead focusing on outreach and natural link building. Because its long term you want your site to be safe from manual penalties and google algo changes.

With a niche site you can be a bit more flexible and take a churn and burn approach. Make your ROI and move on.

Sorry as you can see i am not native. So my English is not up to the mark. Pardon me for that. You are on to the point. Authority site allows you to be more flexible and expand your niche in future easily. In terms of ranking niche sites are easy to work with. Here you are dealing with a single topic with low competition. As @Aesteroth said working with niche site is easier a little bit. You might rank a niche site within 6 months or less. But authority site project is for long term process.

I don't intend on getting PBNs. The niche has very low competition, therefore I don't need to go with the churn and burn approach in fear of penalties.

Thanks alot for your input. I'm just a bit confused on one point.

So a niche site will be faster to rank, why?

Is it because the pillar article for the niche is on the homepage? Compared to it being on an inner page for an authority site?

Thanks

No actually not. Not because of you will put your all content on home page. It depends on many things. Let me share my experience. I started an authority site based on power tools last year. I started adding niches like drill, screwdriver, chainsaw and all. When it comes to the link building I lost my focus. Which landing page will I target now? Each one has good potential. Also i need to put lots of relevant content covering each niches. I was not able to do that. So it becomes hard for me that time. I leave it beside and started a micro niche site earlier this year. And now it's ranked on 1st page for all the main keywords. Each one has its own benefit. Read this article please. It might be helpful for you.

I think if you want a site that you can build up over the course of a year or more and continuously keep building up over time and earning more money in the next couple years go with authority. This type of site will of course cost more and take more effort but in 1-2 years time if you do it right you could be making thousands monthly. This is what I did for my first real effort at IM and it's supported me financially very well for the last year. If you want something smaller that earns less, but will be easier to rank and takes less effort go for the niche site. With a niche site your focus is on one topic and a couple keywords. For authority site your focus can be on a hundred or more keywords that you have to nurture and backlink and keep tabs on. 1 authority site can be like having 10-20 niche sites. It really depends on your preference.

That article was so helpful, especially the video. Thanks!

Thanks every one who contributed and assisted me. I have decided to make niche sites instead of authority sites. I guess, that way I could sell some sites and keep some.

Thank you all.

I will take B option, and you dont need thousand of them, just focus and choose the best 50-100 product in one niche, if it is about panties, find the best you can think or ask your sister to choose 100 product about panties.

I would second the advice on zactictac, they are both viable but for different reasons. If you choose a broad domain you can start with a few articles, rank it, then decide to move forward or keep it a micro niche site.

Make a whole site and give different category pages which could be better.

Option A for your money site and Option B as satellite sites (part of your PBN possibly) that are exclusively there to drive traffic to your money site via targeted sub-niches.

I would probably go with one authority site over multiple smaller sites. Effectively cuts the time needed to build. Also it makes better sense while building links to improve domain authority.Gone are the days for thin sites

If anything, I have seen a pattern on niche sites ranking higher than authority site for a particular product range.
