Nice Ways to Promote App Needed!!

I quit my last job and don't do SEO anymore, but this job is about App marketing,I know nothing about App marketing. Is there somebody know some nice ways to promote App? Our app is not about game, it helps transfer files from PC to mobile devices or transfer files from mobile devices to PC, but without USB cable or Third-party storage. Is there some nice ways to promote it? At the same time, I am also considering how to promote it on Pinterest?

Any reply will be appreciated, thanks in advance!

That seems like a very useful app, so it shouldn't be too hard to promote it if there isn't that much competition for that kind of service. You could try searching google for people asking questions, on tech related forums or yahoo answers, about how to transfer files from mobile devices to a PC and tell them your app will do the job (without sounding like you're affiliated with the app). If there aren't any questions then join some forums and ask them yourself, then answer the questions with a different account under a different IP.
 
is it something like airdroid? I know what app you mentioned but I have only used airdroid and it is amazing, although the transfer speed for large files is a little slower than USB
I don't think that pinterest will be good for such app marketing, the easiest way and free method will be using video marketing i guess, where you demonstrate how the app operates, then you can upload the video to youtube vimeo etc
if you have budget then you can easily find advertisers for your app, make a banner, set up a campaign and you are good to go...

Our App named Xcloud, I am also the user of this App, I do love some of its functions, I think its speed is faster than USB. I also think Video marketing and upload some instructions about our App, maybe how to work, how to use, etc, to some files sharing sites, such as, Slideshare, it would be a nice idea.

I have another question, do we need to do blog marketing about our App? In other words, we also sign up many blogs on different websites and write some posts about it, just like what had done before.

Why don't you create a Facebook page about your app? It is a good way of showing the benefits of your app to likely interested parties.
