Hi all, I am looking for some help with a successful instagram, and really boosting it to a high level. I am a professional photographer in a major US city. I already have a large following and fans. Because my content is professional photography, my photos naturally get a lot of likes and comments. I've grown to 3,000 followers and I have a lot of engagement already. BUT this is nothing compared to others...

I currently automate commenting on posts, follow/unfollow, and like from my timeline and friends of timeline posts.. And also from hashtags.. I use a popular paid service and my results do grow.. But it's slow, 100/followers per day, etc. And it trickles in, due to Instagram rate limits.. (I understand) But I would like to implement another method to really speed things up and I am open to shoutouts or any other way to increase my popularity.

I am NOT looking for fake followers, or likes/comments from fake accounts. I am looking to organically grow within my niche. If anyone can help, please get in touch. My budget is not huge, but am willing to pay for quality. Please skype me or message me if you have anything to share.

Free: Approach large pages who focus on posting images from photographers around the world - strike a deal with them to share your images with credit.

Paid: Find pages with high engagement, who are looking to monetise themselves. Buy shoutouts.

The latter is faster, but will inevitably lead to un-targeted fans trickling in and maybe some drop in engagement % due to their inactiveness. I'd say, honestly, you're growing well for the size you are. Engagement for photographers (from what I've seen), doesn't tend to disappear too much and their engagement is always pretty high if you're consistent with your posting habits and image quality. If you're in this for the long run, stick with what you're doing and just work a little smarter. Target smaller hashtags that are more niche, only like images of new users that you aren't following to increase exposure - not constantly liking images on your existing feed. Most of all, approach people to work with - models, pages, anyone with a large following you can exploit. Create images with them or simply ask them to share yours.

thanks lemmetellya, those were some good tips.
I am looking forward to hearing from others too as i am kind of in the same spot w.r.t instagram.

Let me know if your still looking for this, I have some secret methods that I can't share publicly.

Add pinterest, select certain images for various categories and post from a magnetic standpoint. Where magnetics are things like inspiration, encouragement, insight, why you took it, why you like it, in other words the feelings the images create or inspire for instance I took this picture because the background caught my eye and I had to capture the moment. Next think about sequencing the images. Backstory, triumphs, struggles are extremely magnetic.
