Next biggest social media platform?

Youtube dead
I do not agree with you. I still earn some steady revenue from it. I see many new You Tubers earning excellent money out of it. It is certainly not dead.

Meta is falling down. Everyone is sick off Mark’s greed. So what do you think? What will be the next biggest social media?

  1. TikTok is the best at the moment, but the concept is a lot different and it’s not easy for every business.
  2. Youtube dead, they are trying something with their shorts but their app is also falling down.
  3. Twitter is on the same road as always i think.. never really used it and liked it
  4. Facebook - dead
  5. Instagram - same shit

1. not best but you can say popular
2. YT - far away from being dead
3. not dead
4. not dead
5. not dead

I guess OP wants a platform to bot hard

i think Reddit

Well, your question was "What is the NEXT" big social media platform, not what ones are doing good now, so we have to look ahead at the current issues and what the future my hold.

The biggest issue with current social media is that you don't "own" your account. It is owned by centralized companies, and someone like Musk can come along and blacklist you off that, then you lose.. the end... so account ownership will grow in popularity, that and earning form your content. Besides marketing, you can so much "earn" from posting on FB or Twitter, sure followers.. but that it.. .so why bother if you are an ordinary person and not a marketing person.

This leads, at least me... to look towards web 3 and say what could be big on WEB 3, were is blockchain based accounts and data.

I look at platforms like HIVE.io (Steemit hard fork) and then Dapps built on that, like https://peakd.com/ for long form and https://d.buzz/ for short form (twitter like a platform). There you post, you earn crypto, you can't be censored (per se) and you cant have your account taken away from you.

So, ask me what will be the NEXT big things, platforms like that will be when sheeple wake up and see they are getting raped by traditional platforms and seek better ownership and earnings. But when.. IDK.. 3-5 years I think. :/

digital marketing companies want to do all kinds of crap for money. moral boundaries are being challenged. There is no doubt that +18 content and shares will be more common on the next social media site.

Some of this platforms are not dead because you don't use them

I think it would be best to say that it's Tiktok, but as what everyone know, it isn't applicable for all businesses.

The platforms Meta (Facebook/Instragram) and Twitter are already there for over two decades now. In my opinion, the next big platform has to include a next level VR experience to compete with them.

Regarding TikTok and YT :
From user perspective - You can sit all day long wasting/enjoying your time on both platforms.
From money making perspective - The competition on it is making a very big group of people thinking that they cannot participate.

Youtube is the toppest tier social media, MKBHD said that, he knows his stuff, and the majority of us agree with that.

Except for 5 platforms, I have no idea about a new or already existing social media that can enter the list. I think they will be at the top for a long time.

I have the same opinion for the others except youtube is dead. right, youtube has been confused for a long time, especially in shorts, it can't beat the race with tiktok. I think google/youtube will always be at the top of the list.

YT is a giant without any competition. It is far from dead.

Other than that TikTok is leading the way.
