What's a technological advancement you're excited about in the next 10 years, and how do you think it will impact society?

The metaverse is an exciting idea. I can't wait for it to be part of our lives, so I can be that old man that doesn't understand why people need it or what is it good for.

So you will wait forever xD
Or maybe we are in different universes^^
I still don't understand why would someone buy an online real estate. I understand crypto, but I can't understand this.

Just like our smartphones, conversations have become smarter too

For money laundering? :)
Then hire media to write articles about it.
The entire trend of metaverse died faster than NFT (designed for same goal)

kinda a boring answer but im still always hoping for medical advancements.

the typical (cure all cancer) type stuff.

AI and robots, it can replace people in many fields, I think it will make the unemployment rate go up

Cryptocurrencies.

I think banks are fkd and no I'm not the libertarian fuck-the-system kind. I just think peer to peer finance is the future, people will send each other money directly

In web3 people will pay sites directly, no payments processor

The technological innovation that I'm excited about for the next 10 years is when AI meets with 3D printing. It's just going to be mind-blowing.

Think about it.

A lot of manufacturing today involves a group of designers located at some far off place on Earth, working in a fairly centralized way.

Also, they design products that they hope would have a market.

Sure, they will try to hedge their bets by doing some market research first, but ultimately it's just a shot in the dark.

AI powered custom designed 3D Printed products would really take manufacturing to a whole other level.

Of course, there's a lot of things that need to change. Infrastructure, logistics, shipping, manufacturing, distributed energy.

But if you're looking for the ability to enjoy products that are specifically manufactured for you, which don't cost an arm and a leg, this interplay between artificial intelligence and 3D printing over the internet is going to be a game changer.

I see this happening maybe in 10 years, probably a little bit longer, because the logistics have to be there.

Lots of AI and fake jobs like prompt engineering probably
