It’s a feature that Twitter users have been requesting for so long that it’s become a meme, but now the mythical “edit button” is actually becoming a reality. Twitter has announced that it’s working to allow users to edit their tweets after posting them. The idea is that you’ll be able to fix any typos or errors in a tweet without sacrificing any replies, retweets, or likes it’s already accrued. Twitter plans to begin testing the feature with Twitter Blue subscribers in “the coming months,” https://twitter.com/TwitterComms/status/1511456430024364037.

Guaranteed its not going to be what everyone is thinking... Its going to be some gimmick with a very specific purpose. I cant imagine them allowing post to go viral and then youre able to change the context to whatever you want...

Maybe they would also implement a window for like 1hr or so in which you can edit. Just like reddit used to have.

Idk... But with all the misinformation out there. They wont allow you to completely change the context to whatever you want when a tweet goes viral. There is just no way, it will ruin twitter IMO.

It could work nice with limiting to 1 hour edit after posting and seeing edit history.

I imagine there will be a time limit, which you see on a lot of forums/messageboards.

You'll get 5 minutes or so to make changes and then that's it.

You forgot to mention a important fact it’ll be paid and not free, so good luck with that cause I’ll delete tweets and repost rather than pay for edits
Yes, I think it's about $3/mo.
