I read an idea like this a while ago and just now it came back to my mind.
The idea is
Buy a domain about an specific city in USA, make so the page has links to other legit news sources, (problem, I bought the link in godaddy and I don't know how to edit my page somewhere that is not their shitty trial editing system.) create a facebook account and join different groups about the city, and simply post my page with clickbait titles, (Yes is a dick move but w/e) after getting some traffic trough the site monetize it (I need help with what page can I use to monetize my site) and simply hope it works out, if it works out with the first city then I'll probably move on to creating some more sites just like this.
if anyone has any other tips/ideas let me know.

i was thinking if you advertise local shops cheap might work.

What I was going for is a random city, and simply clickbait titles, once inside the page not even anything related, simply links to legit news sources abc news cnn etc... so I would just have to make a bot that reuploads the link with different titles.
