Hmm, what is the difference between these 2 categories that can be found in the News feed section?

Page fan Status update seems to appear in the Most Recent section but not in the Top News section... wich is bad cause Top news section is displayed first.

How can the Page Fan status update appear in the "Top News" section?

Hey Jokerz, is not "displayed first" as u say or anything alike.

Facebook had Live Feed for several months in 2009 as the default view in order to "copy Twitter" but then they realized users preferred as deftault option the filter by Top News.

So how to decide which status updates from the different competing sources (friends status updates, pages status updates, fb actions) make it to the friends feeds?

    Some of the explanation here:

    http://techcrunch.com/2010/04/22/facebook-edgerank/

And a very interesting thing on that blog post that much ppl don't know (neither me I knew it):

"Some other interesting points: Steinberg hinted that a simpler version of News Feed may be on the way, as the current two-tabbed system is a bit complicated. That said, many people still use both tabs, with over 50% of users clicking over to the ‘most recent' tab on a regular basis. "

Have Fun guessing the News Feed Optimization formula...
