I am planning to publish news articles and reports on an app review website. As news articles' traffic fluctuates a lot someone adviced me to not publish news articles on the main site. Do you think it's good to publish it on the main site or should I launch a new site and then direct some traffic to the main site?

If the goal is to get them on the app review site, then publish them on the app review site. I'd rather have fluctuating direct traffic than fluctuating indirect traffic. If you're really concerned about penalties (which I don't think there are), segment off a piece of the site for news.

Any content is always good specially if it's quality content and not a copycat. I would not post in another site
Some people are too obsessed on clustering relevant info but this is just part of a strategy, news won't deviate such.

Thanks, guys! I think I will try publishing this content on the main site for a while. If there is any penalty-worthy topic, then I will use another site and direct some traffic from there.
