Do your keyword research, first, and go for a keyword tool that can give you a substantial list of low competition keywords like keywordtool.io and LSI Graph.

Though it's news approved site, so you're already one step ahead. Now next part is selecting proper and less trendy news first to flow traffic from Google News section. If you focus trendy news, there are giants portal will beat you easily. So focus less trendy first.

Yes I am doing that lonly (doing keyword research, on low trendy topics) getting the articles on first rank. But Guys, I need a suggestion, the thing is I am looking for lot of traffic. So is the solution a lot of content ? And also increasing the categories a solution
