Hello guys, my name is James. I am into affiliate marketing although content writing is my main passion. I'm just saying...well, I know I am not allowed to promote anything until I become a Jr. VIP. I hope what I just wrote doesn't qualify as promotional stuff. If that's the case, I hereby apologize. 
I am here to learn, connect, and grow.
You'll find me mostly participating in discussions on content writing, affiliate marketing, and SEO. That's because I eat, live, sleep online-business.
I have a long history in this game. I started writing content on iWriter back in 2012, steadily rose to the Elite tier. I had a cult-like following on that site...and then one day, just like that, my account was closed in what the owners of iWriter termed a "sweeping ban" to people falling within a certain IP range. I tried to have them reverse that decision e.g. by giving them screenshots of my reviews page etc, but they were having none of that.
I lost 7 years worth of work just like that...yup, you read that right. The clients, the connections, the 5-star reviews, name them...all gone!
Luckily, around that time I had just managed to start a side-hustle in the form of an affiliate marketing blog. That was in 2019. My new site was fast gaining traction and had hit the peak by mid 2020. Then the infamous Google Algo update of May 2020 struck. Fortunately, my sites (I had managed to build two more by then) had good content that I had mostly written myself so we sort of managed to "hang in there" even as Covid struck.
But of course, it has not been easy. I choose to remain optimistic even at a time when the algorithms seem to be rewarding spam and parasite SEO over what I refer to as clean and genuine blogs.
I have learned to remain patient and most importantly to always embrace change.
And that's why I am here guys. I do often find myself running out of ideas and I believe that joining a forum full of like-minded people will be the change I badly need.
