Hi everyone.
I'm a domainer. I earn money mostly by flipping domain names, I buy but also holding and selling to end users. It's not that much money but I am growing every day and hoping to grow even more.
I want to try my hand at SEO. I find it interesting because I love data analysis and I love the rush of rising up in serps and upgrading my projects.
I want to tell you how I want to start my first real SEO project and I would like advice, suggestions and feedback from you guys. Also, any questions are welcome.
Keep in mind, I'm an SEO noob so I may be getting some things wrong. Please correct me when I do.
So this is what I want to do:
1) find and buy a good expired domain which is already ranking for keywords. I can find that with semrush combined with other tools.
2) make a blog based on the main or highest traffic keyword.
3) apply for adsense or find a good affiliate network, whichever is more appropriate to the niche
4) continue making blog post for related, low comp keywords. Since I don't want to invest much for my first website as I look at it as a learning experience, I would go for ~100 per month keywords for each article.
Bare in mind, I want to make articles manually with effort, care and research.
5) do whatever it takes to do to maintain the website and keep adding content
Now I have a couple of questions for you guys and I appreciate your feedback:
- if I buy a domain with good DA, TF, backlink profile etc., will I rank automatically for low comp keywords every time I write an article or will I need backlinks to each specific article?
- do I need to invest money into SEO (or anything else) for this project, or only time?
- any reason to prefer CPA over adsense or some other network? Do some work better in some cases?
- what am I missing? This seems too easy to be true. Like write an article, rank it and get a new source of organic traffic for every article.
Do I need to pay for backlinks for every article? Is that the missing piece.
Thank you for any feedback and I love you all. Lots of interesting people on here with interesting ideas.
