Newbies -- Some Things To Know About IM

Some things you should know about internet marketing. This list is based just on what I've observed on the forums, some general business motivational speech stuff, and from some personal observations of my own work habits in the past.

1. IM is not a get rich quick scheme. If your goal is to make a lot of money, it is going to require significant amounts of work, and will take time. I know sometimes reading methods, you may get the impression that you can make money really fast, but that usually doesn't happen.
   Pick 2 of the following 3: Cheap, Easy, Profitable...If something is cheap and easy, it won't be profitable. If something is profitable and easy, it isn't going to be cheap, etc. In some cases, you may only get 1 of those. If you want something to be profitable, it won't be cheap OR easy.
2. Inaction will get you nowhere. If you spend all day on BHW only looking at methods but never actually doing or even trying any, you are not going to make any money. I am guilty of this one for sure. I know how easy it is to sit here and look at methods and say 'Man that looks like it could be good', but then never actually try it. Nothing ventured, nothing gained! Treat IM like a business and it will pay like a business. Treat it like a hobby and it will pay you like a hobby. If you need somebody telling you what to do every step of the way, IM might not be for you.
3. You will fail. If you fail, pick up the pieces and try it again or try something else, but more importantly, do not quit. A quitter never wins and a winner never quits.
4. Yes, making money on the internet IS possible. Many people have made huge amounts of money on the internet; I've seen a bunch of posts in the past few months where people claim we're all making it all up. I'm sure there are people here that have exaggerated their earnings, but there are plenty of people who have made a lot of (real) money, too. If you still don't think it is possible, refer to #1, #2, and #3 and, taking those into mind, try it again.

That is very true, and it has been talked about over and over. Unfortunately, newbies still think they will be different, they will meet amazing success fast, without any hard work and when they fail, they are quick to blame it on others.
