This is kind of a long post, but I wrote it up, and a posting it on some forums, as I see TONS OF "how to do i make money threads".

Whether you are new or not, it is a great read for anyone still learning.

If you are still new at learning how to make money online, or specifically affiliate marketing, you are like a fish swimming in a pool of piranhas.

The piranhas are the “Make money online gurus” who don’t necessarily always come in the form of the guru.

These guys promise the “Secret turnkey 10,000$ a month business yours now for 100$” offers that usually don’t deliver. The problem is that guides like this are selling, because everybody wants those easy answers.

I am not here to give you easy answers, or really any answers at all when it comes to making money, at least not in this post.

This I have written today is just HARD TRUTH, I am not here to sugarcoat shit.

I am here to explain you what you need to learn BEFORE you can learn how to make money, which is how to navigate the information overload you are probably experiencing.

If you are like me starting out, you probably don’t even have the money for the guru’s special course anyways, so that brings us to the “Information Overload”.

If you look at free resources, while ignoring the constant bombardment of people selling you Internet Marketing products, you will see that there are TONS of threads of forums and articles on websites that explain marketing methods and traffic sources.

Now that you have found these places like blackhatworld, wickedfire, warriorforum etc. you need to learn what you need to learn without getting lost in a swamp like I did.

See when I opened that BHW homepage, I saw at least 20 threads that looked useful, methods promising those golden numbers, 50-100$ a day.

Even if the threads were years old, I still spent time reading them. Many of these threads still work, and I am not saying you shouldn’t do your research into making money online.

However, it doesn’t matter if you have 24 hours a day,
you will not have time to implement 20 methods at the same time, especially because some can be very time consuming.

That is the purpose of me writing this, to help people who are new to internet marketing understand how detrimental this can be, and hopefully overcome it.
The first thing you need to do is figure out what your own plan is.

Are you here just to spam and try and make a little fast CPA money? Are you experienced in certain niches and want to create products, promote offers, and create a long term business?

What I try to do is have a little bit of both, because I do have a couple short term spam methods, but they are not going to succeed long term.

However, I have some niches I have a lot of content for, and am creating long term, legit websites and campaigns based around these at the same time.

The reason I say this is because, not that I know my goals, I can make sure not to stray far from them. If I see a thread about Instagram, or some other type of social media or CPA tips, I know it might be worth spending time on.

I also know that if it has to do with selling e-books on the Amazon Kindle store, it is up my alley as that is one niche. On the flip side, I can go through forums like blackhatworld and
the majority of the shiny “Method” threads are not worth my time, even though they might have good stuff in them.

It is just not economical for me to spend all day reading an 80-page thread, even if it is a good method, just because I have so much work to do.

In addition, I am not really tempted to spend money on e-books because I know that while they are useful, they might not be important for my current ventures. This also is a huge help, because seeing a legit looking e-book method is also very tempting, especially because the price tag on it makes it seem valuable.

Once again, most e-books promising big money aren’t what they seem, but then again I have made money off a method learned in an e-book.

I had some spam methods going, but spent most of my free time dicking around and reading about methods, but never building a long term business.

I recommend that any beginner follows a similar mindset, make sure to get laser focused on your goals and your niche. If you don’t do this, you could end up right where I did in 2013, failure.

Once my spam methods dried up, I was screwed for a while and it is not something you want to happen, I actually had to admit I failed and go back to work for a couple years, because it was the responsible thing to do despite knowing that I could make money.

My hope is that this might help some newbies find their way, because every day I see threads of people who I know are fish swimming in a pool of piranhas.

I also recorded a short video on the subject -

A nice post, however, some formatting would be useful hear. Perhaps some sectioning and color separation so people can read it easier. Overall good effort though, mate.

Thanks for the tip, did a bit of formatting hopefully it helps

Yep i realized this myself not many weeks ago. This is really the key. And you explain why. Really good man!

But i agree on the spacing and coloring of the text. It kind of hurt my eyes to read it hehe

Really thanks for this. I was exactly in the same situation as you mate.

Bet you a grand he wants to be the next guru. Btw nice beard bro. Nice.

If only I could edit it again, but ill try to make future posts a smaller font. sorry. the beard is a requirement for any guru.

Good post.I like the font size and formatting.

You would also need to change that avatar, a proper guru needs one like I have. Hint- You can order one at Fiverr

I enjoyed reading as method threads so educational ones, if you want to take action and start earning fast, yup dont overload yourself. buut

Edit ( judging by replies I talk about forum thrds, I read few words here)

Bhw, lil education. some time and commong sense.
Alot people wants to build biz but dont know how to promote it, build brand .... Its here and thats great just twistity tit it and you are ok.

Few weeks ago by luck ive chatted with guy in relaties niche on sm later meeting.

In 1~3 hours I found 2 big holes in brand building, and promotion atleast in my country i bet theres way more.

He is not fully interested/hyped prolly coz he knows only one part, so I can say him other half and exchange it for info in relaties he mentioned earlier how to buy better and sell better. Educational purposes and curiosity. Get or not get work idc much.
If I wont be lazy I can shoot mails to other biz´s and try it there too with variable approaches. Idk if I will go HC there but with bussiness approach you could atleast find few clients or rock the field and take it to another level.

Harder for me to explain with my englando but I find my self pretty "not-dumb/better" in marketing view and mostly coming up with new things/ideas/ways.

I have sent cv once, it was exactly build for the work. Another cv req. would lead to new cv.

Few sh*t from me, just dont be dumb think about things you learnt practice them maybe a bit and youll be once prolly petty ok.

Tryna find the point of this thread lol. There's really no useful information here.
To all you newbies reading, go to the BHW money-making section and pick out 5 methods and try them each out for a month and see what works best and just scale it up. It's as easy as that.

I see fat people trying to teach you how to get fit.I see poor people trying to teach you how to make money.I see people like you every day...The interesting fact is that there are still a lot of idiots believing them.
You have nothing to do with SEO and your advices are proving it.How can you tell newbies to start with "a couple spam methods and a couple long term methods" ???You are talking about information overload and you tell people to start a "few methods or websites"???Do you estimate how much information you need to start multiple methods at once???
Sorry bro...I think you are on the wrong forum!

Im not telling people to start multiple methods at once, I am merely suggesting that if they are going to make this a full time career, like most people try to do, to not have all their eggs in one basket. On that same token however, it is very easy to use this type of thinking in order to justify jumping into too many damn things at once. Sure there is no SEO here, I never said this was an SEO guide.

I will say this though I do agree with those who said this is mostly useless information in some ways, but at the same time if I had been in this same frame of mind going out into those forums out there I would have had a better chance. Thats just me though, I got distracted very easily and kept bookmarking all these awesome methods and got overwhelmed.

I was drowned in the black ness of the black hat world, you might say.
