Newbies can't post links in threads but can in titles

The majority of spam I see around here is when a new user creates a thread with a link as the title. Is there no way to block this?

Report it (hit the report button) and we deal with it. That's always the best way to deal with anything you see that's a rule breach. If you want to become a mod (or are considering doing so). The number of correct spam / rule breach reports, quoting which rule they are breaking, improves your chances of getting a mod position significantly.
