    Hey guys,

I've been trolling on here for about a month now, and all of you, ok most of you, seem extremely smart and well versed in IM. I'm starting from nothing/no existing knowledge of the market or how it works. What are some of the best resources, or places on this forum I should be posting in, for someone new like myself to get in from the ground up. I realize this has probably been posted a shit ton, but I couldn't find any posts on here gauged towards people that are completely new to IM. Thanks in advance!

    hey mavtastic,

i'm a kinda newbie myself aswell, so i'm not sure how much can i be of a help to you... but i will tell you a few thoughts that might or might not help you...

1st: think about your target. is IM the best thing you can do to achieve your goal?? why?
2nd: if so, how would you measure a complete success in getting there??
3rd: what do you need to make it happen??
4th: learn what you can learn and delegate what you can't or it's not worthy for you to learn
    * Extra: measure and iterate as many times as you may need

if you tell me your plan/idea, maybe i can give you a more customized tip.

    take care,
    CT

    Hey Carlos,

    I really appreciate the reply.

End game would probably be what a lot of people want, to be able to quit my 8-5 and work from home. In the immediate sense, I honestly just want to learn how IM works. I don't care if I only make a dollar my first month, as long as I learn some methods and have resources to educate myself.

I have worked in IT for the last 12 years, and have a love and comfort around computers, but I am getting tired of not getting the same amount of reimbursement from the industry as the effort I put in.

From my trolling, I have noticed that a fair majority of users on here utilize social media to gather traffic. This is where I go full potato, but I don't understand where they direct the traffic and how they monetize it. Do I have to own my own site? Do affiliate programs produce links that I can make money off of (PPC?), or just advertise on my existing site? I'm probably asking all the wrong questions hahaha but I figured this would be the best place to ask them.

When it comes to monetization, you have various possibilities:

For starting, I´d recommend you starting with PPC or affiliate programs, since getting enough traffic from Google SEO might take time and Adsense would only make things more complicated.

1st: Create an audience around a niche-topic. As you mentioned, social networks work well for this. I'd recommend you two tools here: One is followliker.com (automate 100% your social networks - be smart about it, otherwise you might get banned), and second PromoRepublic (helps you to create and share content in an awesome way) http://get.promorepublic.com/socialmediatool/
    2) Register in shareasale.com, by the way, feel free to use my affiliate link here: http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?B=44&U=1462568&M=47&urllink= the good thing about them is that they have tons of products, and the bad thing is that the website is a bit old and the UX sucks a bit... but you're here for the money, right? :)
3rd) Publish a mix of content and affiliate products in your various socialnetworks with the previous tools. My pro tip here: use followliker to publish your ever-green content and promorepublic to publish fresh content. IMHO the best mix would be around 70% content 30% affiliate links
4th) Once you have thousands of followers, you might join some influencers network, so you can get paid by brands for promoting their product, check https://famebit.com/ as an example.

Summary: identify a niche, create an audience around it, monetize and enjoy learning! :)

    I'm glad I could help!

There're some people that do what they call "a path", sharing their daily progress to the BlackHatWorld community, maybe you can share yours aswell!

    Good luck mate!
