Hey guys,

Im starting a web development course in a couple of months and i am really excitrd but i thought i would try some other methods of making money online. i was thinking of buying sites and getting a freelancer to seo and then resell for a profit... is that a good start?
Im cashed up atm so can afford a decent site. any advice?

Also i watched this movie called hacker it was super blackhat illegal methods of making money, but got me excited about making money :D

Don't pay attention to movies, hacking can get you into serious trouble. Read the forum and learn from experts. Flipping sites are ok if you know what you are doing, best to get some experience with your own site first
 
How much experience do you have with building sites? Youtube has lots of free tutorials so might be a good place to start.

Mmm im more interested in buying sites over building one from scratch...

Even buying them you still need a working knowledge. It's not as simple as you seem to think. Buying sites to flip can actually leave you out of pocket. Also do you know how to move sites from one host to another and set them up. What happens if the buyer has problems, do you have enough knowledge to sort it out.

If I can make money online, then anyone can.
 
Firstly try creating your own site just to get started. It's quite simple, no need to know coding really.
Just pick a niche, something you really like. Then create a wordpress site with some existing theme and create some content.
By creating your own site, you can learn about hosting and site management. Then you can learn about monetizing it using some Ad Networks.

Because if you directly buy an existing site, you'll still need to learn to manage it, monetize it and market it.
So, it's better to learn all this on a test site first and then maybe buy one when you're comfortable with all this.
