Newbie trying to help wife's business

Hi i am a newbie on this forum, though i have been reading a lot for a long time and decided to join in to take the SEO in my own hands. I have been trying to help my wife's business to generate online presence and traffic since the launch last year in New Zealand and soon to be launched in Australia. I have been paying a lot of SEO companies for the seo with very poor backlinks and found most of them just using GSA SER or similar link building software for poor quality links. Finally i have decided to invest in GSA myself to have a better control over the content and good link building. I do understand GSA might not be the tool for tier 1 links, but will be working with other forum user's help to generate good links to redirected urls to my money site. Will be great to understand the SEO techniques to generate local traffic with high ranking of money site. Please leave your advice in comments and guide me in the right direction wit Do's and Don'ts.
