    Heya BHW!

I've got a short little question that I've been wondering for a while.

When I do keyword research on the SEO competition in Market Samurai, I always get lots of these sites like answer.yahoo, ehow, answer.ask etc etc are these hard to outrank? I see they got millions of backlinks etc.

Also I wonder should I look on Backlinks for whole site or just backlinks on that particular page?

    /Thanks Jokko.

I generally ignore those kinds of sites. If you are looking at a specific keyword, you can outrank those general sites relativity quickly. This is because those are generally single pages/posts about the subject, whereas you are looking to build a site.

Also, I personally don't often pay too much attention to the links. Sites like Amazon, Ask, and other large sites will have millions of links, but those are just general links that will be unrelated to the keyword you are after...

So, overall I personally only look at sites that are dedicated to the keyword I'm looking at, or have a large sub-site that is dedicated to my keyword as real competition.

    Good luck...

It used to be like that, but now it's getting tougher to outrank these sites, especially Amazon. I see them pop up everywhere in my niche after panda.
