I’m a newbie trying to publish themes on Chrome Web Store, and I recently ran into an issue that I don’t know how to fix. Hoping someone with experience can help me out!
At first, when I upload a new theme, it gets approved pretty quickly with no problems. But as soon as I update the Support URL to add a backlink, the update goes into manual review immediately, and sometimes it even gets rejected.
What worries me more is that after this happens, even my new themes start taking much longer to get approved, even when I don’t add any backlinks. I’m wondering if my account has been “flagged” by Google…
I even tried creating a new account, and at first, everything went smoothly—fast approvals, no issues. But the moment I added a backlink to the Support URL, the same thing happened: longer reviews and delays.
My Questions:
1. Is there any way to make my account more trusted so that updates don’t trigger manual reviews?
2. Does anyone know a safer way to add backlinks without getting flagged?
3. Would it help if I waited some time before adding backlinks, instead of updating right away?
