Hello everyone !
Sorry in advance if this question is stupid but I'm a beginner in SEO and I couldn't find a decent answer.
I'm currently trying to find some keywords for an informational article. There's one that I found, main KW is low volume (320 searches/month) and it looked like it could be a good keyword for my low authority site.
Anyway, here's the thing. The first result in the SERP for this result is not even trying to rank on this keyword (by that I mean that its content is not directed towards this KW mainly and does not really answer the user intent). Its main KW is a KW with ~6K searches, and there are results with decent DAs trying to rank for the ~320 searches KW with way better content.
And, what I don't get either: this page is also ranking 1st for the ~6k KW search, while having a quite low quality content on the page with barely 400 words !? The top results in the SERP have all been there for a while, they have average DAs (but not worst) and wayyyy better content, while also having a better backlink profile.
I don't get it, any clue?
