I'm not that good at web design to be fair. I know basic HTML and things but can't do anything complicated. I've got a blogger site that has a theme applied to it that I got from some other site. I want my logo to be at the top of the page, near the header. I've got a problem and I can't figure it out.

I downloaded a copy of the site template on blogger (XML). I also downloaded the website source code. But I want to know now how I can apply my logo to the site. I don't have too much problem fitting it in. It's about how to go about it. I don't think you can upload HTML files to Blogger, and the XML files only contain the background code for the blog to function, but not posts or anything.

If you've read all this and understand it, you deserve a cookie :)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys! :)

Why not try using Wordpress themes for your site? They are really helpful for people who are not experienced in coding or whatever. There are free awesome themes you can get in the downloads section that can easily put your banner on the top part where you want it.

Just upload it to blogger, if you can see any logo, then copy the url of that image,
then again edit the xml template, replace the url of logo with the url of your logo. You have to upload your logo some where like tinypic

Thanks both of you for the help. I have a converted Wordpress template, I think. I'm forgetting about the downloads section for templates!

Wordpress will be better when considering SEO. All the Best.

Thanks for the advice with Wordpress, but I don't want to spend money on hosting for this site. And 000webhost seems like a bad choice?

Google free hosting, tons of them :p

Unsure though if it'll support what I need. I don't need much disk space but I'll be having lot's of traffic arriving.

Use free blog platforms then? Wordpress/blogger/blogspot are popular choices.

I would recommend WordPress. It is the best open source CMS and has many good features. You must use that.
