Newbie needs some help please

Hello folks I am totally new to the whole SEO thing and I pretty much dont know anything about it.
The thing is I came up with my own small social network (facebook like) where actually any kind of content is allowed (except CP).

My problem is that probably nobody knows that my site actually exists lol.
So I have to make it more famouse but I dont know how.
Second problem is that I cant spend any cash on promotion stuff right now.

Any ideas how I could boost that thing?

learn about on/off seo, the rest will come with it, you don't have to spend money I also do my shit manually

Totally agree with you, You have to do bit work hard. When you earn enough just buy some tools which are pretty good with this stuff..

How do you expect your site to run without spending any cash on promotion? Everybody dreams of making a facebook or twitter, but the time is over, unless you have a really brilliant site and can get venture capital.

I second that.

Post about it on facebook and other social networks, pinterest is great as well. Tweet about it and maybe you will get more traffic to it.

Study SEO for you will need to use it later to gain traffic to your site. Word of the mouth, promoting to forums, introducing to blogs, writing an article about your site and submitting your site link to web directories are a few things that you can do to make your site famous.

What is your current budget? If you don't have any money at all you will find it really hard to start off whereas if you have $1000 spare and you spend it wisely you could give your SEO career a huge head off start.

SEO is not just easy as 123 but to make an effort out of it.
We need experts, suggestions, assistance and more on ideas to make everything work as what we wanted.
Consider me as a newbie but time to time I get more confident and comfortable with SEO business, how did I do this?
I had been reading and trying to understand those that are really essential and which are applicable to sustain the needs of getting to TOP RANK.
I listen to some conversation and more over to get feedback into some of related issues that may be a help to improvement and be able to hit target.
To start with you can read the book I have read which is Killer Link Building which has its own SEO ways to get your site in to the Top of Search engine and get the high PageRank you prefer.
Everyone starts from Scratch and it is not bad to get ideas and learn from others if it is shared then you're welcome to address questions, this may be a opportunity to expand your knowledge and apply it whenever possible.
