newbie needs some advice on easy keywords

Hi im very new to this
I need to dominate a very easy keyword - there are few sites on this keyword so it shouldn't be hard, but I need to get 10 sites to take over first page in google as quickly as i can and keep the sites there forever.

BTW
I know nothing of seo
Can anyone give me a very basic yet USEFUL step by step?
I hear wordpress is good for these things so i installed it but can always uninstall it.
Also i know this sounds horrible but because its 10 sites i need to do as little as possible by hand
