Newbie Looking to make money?
At one time, we were all starting out. Making a couple of dollars a day or even week can give you a whole heap of experience, a confidence boosts and a few bucks for a coffee.
Heck, at one point that coffee made with my shallow riches was the highlight of my week.
So, as I am now much more settled into the forum, and I am launching some new BSTs soon I wanted to give something back to you guys, in this dire time.
Here is a method I have used to collectively make a couple of hundred bucks over a few months with relatively little to no investment needed.
So, you'd think to be successful on POD stores you need to be a graphic designer or artist to make money. Technically speaking though, you do not. This is a little grey hat, albeit if you’re not too bothered about copyright laws you could take this even further and totally blackout it.
Step one, find royalty-free images. Ideally, it is best to stick to a niche, however, on online platforms you can just spam with quantity over quality.
A quick Google brings up these sites for royalty-free images for commercial use.

This above is a website I have used to find images before. It has around 20 sites the majority of which have tonnes of royalty-free images.
You can browse through, by now I should imagine you can see where I am going with this method.
** I will add some of these images you can use outright, however, some will require the images to have had some sort of manipulation.
Some of them are broken, there are some jewels in there.

You can take the pictures, manipulate them or use them outright and load them onto the following sites;
Now. I realise some of the sites are more related to pop culture type art. I will say this, I have made sales on them before. You can make backpacks, T-shirts, hats, stickers etc.
Plus, we have only really gone through one site. If you dig deep enough on the internet I can guarantee you can find a lot more.
I found one which does relatively cool street art, I uploaded about 100 images to Society6 and have made around $100 dollars from it over a year. I realise it may seem like nothing, but considering I never log on to the site, or do any kind of promotion, it isn’t too shabby!
Remember there are quite a few sites where you can find images like the above. If you are struggling for ideas or money then why not spend a few days uploading a couple of hundred images to a POD market place and just leave it there to make sales?
If you want to take it a step up and push a little further, you can set up an Etsy store, connect it to Printify or Printful and stick the nature photography images onto posters and sell them.
If you wanted to take it even further again you can set up an independent art store, concentrating on posters, socks, backpacks, mugs, cups or whatever else takes your fancy. Design your store on Shopify connect it, again, to Printify or Printful and you now have an art store.
The whole point of this thread is this. You do not always need to reinvent the wheel when starting out. You can make a few small efforts which over time will teach you to think outside the box and find and maximise resources online for free.
