Hallo everyone, just set up a new blog
My main goal eventually was to content lock some articles (When I eventually get traffic) and hopefully get a few leads or do some fake giveaways to get some leads and maybe some affiliate marketing
The domain was a dropped domain with (According to AHrefs) 78k backlinks.

Could someone critique what I'm doing and help me get going?
Is it possible I could rank each article highly in google?
Would content locking work?
Are there any other ways to monetize this blog?

All help is appreciated ^_^
Thank you in advnace

Correct me if i'm wrong, but wouldn't you content block something that was adult rated. Luring those underage away from your website?

Sorry for not being much help, but I would like to hear more about this myself. I am not sure of how this would benefit SEO in any way however.

Anybody?

I said nothing about adult rated content, I was talking about a minuscule amount of articles that talked about something that the reader would really want. I apologize if I confused you >.<.

He said "content lock" actually. This means that he's planning on making his more tantalizing material blocked by offers such as surveys, product purchases, signups, or some other similar requirement to view receive his content.

edit: poorly written sentence

Those 78k backlinks would do you a whole lot of good if you put up contents relating to what used to be on that domain before it dropped...

content locking has never worked for me! but if you have great content that your readers want, then it should work!
to get more traffic you could try paid traffic from 50onred or leadimpact, just make sure to do the proper research first.
to monetize it i would find some cpa offers that offer free sign ups related to your niche

Content locking will work out if it is structured correctly and you are sure that your readers will be hooked on your offer. If not, try affiliate marketing to monetize your blog.

You could either log the actual blog itself or use a link locking page in order to facilitate.
I suggest taking a look at ContentLockingHelp.com for some ideas on what you could do with a page locker or link locker integrated.
You'll find a lot of videos, tutorials etc going over some of the basics that may help on your blog. There's also a tutorial on blog integration with a locker
but I think a good link locker (normal mode or advanced) would help in your case as the link page could up sell the content if its designed well, which should be easy
with the use of available tools.

I don't understand the benefit of locking content. To me it just seems like you're asking for your content to be ripped by someone. Wouldn't it affect your bounce rate a lot too?

I think there are a few javascript scripts out there that can help you with what you want to do.

Don't content block bro, instead use a content lock that asks the user to "share" your site before continuing (let them click out, or they will leave). monetize with ads and focus on building loyal readers.

You're new, so its not likely for folks to come back or ever share your site if they have to fill out a survey just to read an article. The internet is where people read free articles all day, what makes your content so special?
