Newbie instagram journey to 100k!

Hey everyone and welcome to my instagram journey to 100k!

Okay so at the end of June I started an instagram account in the tattoo niche.

After the 1k mark I decided to change to tattooed babes (speaking to others on instagram and reading on here)

I wanted to make a journey once i got the hang of it and understood it all so here I am at 12.8k followers.

I've set my fairly large yet achievable goal of 100k followers.

I've done everything manually and legit, it will stay that way

I post 2-3 pictures and follow/unfollow around 500 a day

My plans are to grow big enough to sell shoutouts and sell clothing/other related items.. If that all goes to plan I'll make another 4 accounts in the same niche and shout myself out and grow them all and scale everything up.

I'll update regularly and answer any questions anyone may have

Any advice/tips would be appreciated.

Thanks! one problem I had at the very beginning was getting on and starting, I was too fixated on forums and researching the best niches and ways of doing it that before I realised, I was a month or 2 behind. Take action and go with the flow.. Its a rewarding feeling when you watch your following grow and to reach 10k was a great feeling!
 
How did you get started? Did you just post and use a bunch of tags, or follow/unfollow a bunch of people that were using similar tags?

I'd be sure to post 3 high quality pictures per day with around 20 tags in every caption.
I researched every tag and used the most popular.. Searched "tattoo" and "ink" then picked the top 20.

And I followed and unfollowed the followers of my larger competitors. It was a slow start but now I'm averaging 400 new followers a day :)

thanks although it doesn't feel like it.. it feels like i should be much bigger than 12.9k in 3 months...

thanks! although im not new.. been here for years but never really made any money and just reading.. then i got a new comp and forgot my password and email :( but thanks! :)
 
13k now. any suggestions on getting more followers organically and free?
