I started off on Fiverr when it was a young website, I started offering web banners and headers as a design service, then they introduced level sellers. I went straight to level 2, then was instantly promoted to a top rated seller - I was a part of their prestigious elite club.

As far as advice goes, be honest, under promise and over deliver because that will always be reflected in your feedback. Make sure you always give refunds if something goes wrong - it's not worth the hassle. Just move on. Make your gig highly engaging with a video, have a great description of your offers and when it gets more popular, have some awesome up-sells.

Fiverr is hard work, but rewarding, I made over $6000 on Fiverr before I moved onto bigger and better projects. Custom design work for $5 (As I'm from the UK, £2) after all fees are taken away, just is not worth it.

You won't get rich overnight on Fiverr but work hard and the orders will come in. Try and offer your services on community forums. I've seen people offering WSO's on the warrior forum which is just a fiverr gig. Even though Fiverr is a popular website, the more you can advertise the better!

Start of slow, put around 5 gigs that you can comfortably over deliver, try to have a good value for money in what you offer, then seek reviews and ratings, that is how you move on.

Set you gig durations to 1 days to get Express on them. Use up all 20 gig slots and create 20 gigs for social media services to see which gig titles, photos, etc work best. You can then start cutting down on the gigs and leaving the ones that are selling. Be sure to upload a video for all of your gigs.

The Best Advice for a Fiverr Newbie : Always offer your Service a little more than your competitor (eg. if you about to sell FB likes and the Top Seller who offers Fb likes delivers 100 likes for 5$ then you must deliver 125 likes) is such a way you could gain popularity soon.

And always try to over-deliver you first few customers

As for newbie this rule applies for everybody, offer something more than your competitor.

Perfect timing coming across this thread. I'm just setting up on fiverr - for content/article writing. I don't see it as being a directly hugely profitable endevour, but if I can at minimum cover costs may prove to be a great way to build up my customer list.

I keep seeing people saying that video is a must. Does anyone have stats to backup how much more gigs will sell with va without video?
