I recommend using the 'Thank You' button in the bottom right corner of a comment to thank the member. Doing it via your own comments like just now, and worse yet typing them separately is highly discouraged.
Mods can look at it as post-inflating.
Don't worry thought 97% of us made that mistake when we joined so it's all fine, try to use the thank you buttons and group together comments like I did with yours.
I wish this information was more easily conveyed to new members :/, so don't feel bad about it. See ya!
