Hi Everyone,

still very green when it comes to SEO,

can peeps recommend a list of tools i should own?

i am particularly interested in automating profile link building and link building in general

Thanks Martin

Hm, might have something that can help you out.

Also, it really depends on what kind of 'SEO' work you are after. Getting backlinks is one thing, building authority pages that can rank themselves is another.

For research etc, Market Samurai is pretty good.

ScrapeBox is a must have for anyone, and is both very intuitive to use (for a self-describe noob such as yourself) and chock-a-block with features. Best 57USD you will ever spend.

You might want to look at some of the incansoft apps, they're cheap and fairly noob-friendly.

TweetAttacks is the bestest if you're at all interested in this twitter shit the kids are so into these days.

Learning about proxies and finding decent sources is a big plus for what we do.

Other than that, I wouldn't go too nuts buying a bunch of tools or services until you've gotten a few under your belt and learned more about SEO theories and practices. I see a lot of people who buy every tool out there and then 90% of those tools don't get used.

Good luck, have fun, and make teh monies.

peace - gregs.

Well, for me its:

ScrapeBox
SENukeX
AMR
Market Samurai
Powershell
Python
Private proxies
Hosting accounts
Two VPS to run tools on remotely.

That's pretty much what makes up my toolbox

I use SEO Spyglass to locate jiucy link sources. However, you might want to start with Link Assistant. It's of big help if you are a newbie, helps you organize your link building campaign, gives you advice. There is a free version too, if you wanna try it first.

If you`re newbie and want to rank sites fast...first i would buy some services, and meanwhile i would learn how to use the tools.

A keyword research tool (mnf or market samurai) should be first, quickly followed by scrapebox.

amr and bmd would probably be next, or xrumer/senuke if you have the cash.

To start I suggest Market Samurai and scrape box with a few incansoft tools for promotion.
Once you get the basics and start making some money, do yourself a favor and get Senuke X, is an expensive monthly subscription but it's worth every penny.

i appreciate everyones posts.

thanks for the advice.

What are powershell and python?
Power Shell is an extended command line tool (think MS DOS command line on crack).

Python is an easy to learn but very powerful programming language.

I'd consider both of these advanced tools (note I am not original poster suggesting those tools).

What tool is needed to build a authority website?

So far I have Scrapebox. Looking on getting me 2nd program. I'm debating between Article Marketing Robot and Bookmarking Deamon. Which one do you guys recommend I get next?

Scrapebox is a must have tool
Seonuke
Micro Niche Finder
Market Samurai
Bookmaking Demon
AMR

I would look at getting a YoutUbe channel going if there's any way you can create any authoritive or help type videos that can relate to your keyword or niche. Facebook as well if you can link and relate YT and FB to your content there's so much you can do there. That is where the people are daily right now.

I totally agree with the idea of having un-used tools sort of being a trap. I talk to webmasters who actually wind up without executing anything heavily. There are many providers here in the services section. Browse through what they are offering and try a little of this and that from people who are here to provide service.. know what they are doing. Good luck.
