    Hey All,

I've been on this forum for a while now and I made it my homepage. I feel bad sounding like a newbie but I need some help if possible. I personally have like 3-4 sites. Site 1 is Pure Unique content, I update that site every 3-4 days for the past 2 years. My pagerank has been stuck on 2 and I only get like 4 visitors a day, sometimes none. I don't know anything about keyword searching, checking competitors, and I sure don't know jack about SEO. I do have adsense but I made prob $4.00 in the past 6 months. The niche is very good as well as I have a lot of knowledge for that niche specifically. I was hoping someone can guide me on what I can do to increase my rankings, real traffic etc.

As for my other sites, they are fairly new and the niche is totally unrelated for testing purposes (key generators, etc). I had made youtube videos (reading legendary hacker's ebook), but after uploading 8 videos I have earned $0.00 (with 100 click impressions). So I don't know where or what to do at this point. Nothing seems to be working.

I have searched this forum several times, I see SEO software, etc. But when I use them that's where I get stuck. How do I search properly for keywords (or what should I be searching for?). Are these the same as "Tags" because when I use my wordpress All In One Seo, I normally fill the tags in my post, not in the plugin.

Again, I have a lot of love to this forum, I love to read posts, ask questions, although I don't have much to give back because I still feel a bit lost. I hope someone can just give me a boost on where to start off. I don't mind if it takes me a year to do it to be honest, I just feel my unique content is useless.

Thanks and hope I can get some advice from anyone here.

I can bet from past 2 years, bhw was not your homepage! If it was, then you would be telling us instead of asking. My suggestion- You havent read much here seems like.. Do some Seo for your site. Go whitehat and give few months. You will do good! :)

Thanks Techxan, I've already started the process and went through both links. Very very helpful. Basically I went through all the lowest competition keywords and used those. (I'm not 100% on where to input these keywords, but I was able to use just one low competition keyword to my title and keyword setting (using all in one seo plugin).

If I may ask, how many keywords are too much? I'm using wordpress and want to know how many keywords I should enter the most (for both seo plugin and tags)

Use SEO/CPA offers better than adsense... Use also Market Samurai for keyword research, find some e-books on freewso.asia or something like that, you will see some good examples for SEO. Cheers!

It really depends on a lot of factors including how related the other keywords are to each other. Any root keyword can bring a ton of long tails due to the LSI effect in written content, with adequate content, that is.

Any page can rank for hundreds of long tail keywords, and you can generally rank a page for a half dozen fairly related words quite easily.

Words related to your main root keyword are easy to bring in, and the more removed from it the harder it is to bring them in.

If you own a carpet cleaning service, bringing in carpet deodorizing is a simple matter. Due to how keyword relationships work, carpet deodorizing is mentioned enough times on thousands of carpet cleaning sites that its use is not uncommon on a carpet cleaning site and it will score just by using it in the content.

If the keyword is not related you will have to pull it in by carefully using it in the description,, heading tags and having a section under the heading that discusses this service.

I usually introduce the keyword on the home (or services/products) page under a heading, and build a page dedicated to the word in addition to this page. This seems to "cement" the word higher in the rankings.

A carpet cleaning site could pull in "commercial floor cleaning" easily because it is related to the industry, (floor care) even though it has nothing to do with carpet cleaning.

Pulling in a page about "raising rabbits" into a carpet cleaning site will take a lot more effort because these things are totally unrelated.

Keep in mind that your main root keyword is the phrase your website targets, not what you think it targets.

Thank you again for the support. So what I did is search for one long tail keyword where the competition is low but also where the global search is really high. I followed all of your steps. I decided to use yoast plugin instead as I found it 100 times more helpful.

So now that I optimized the keyword for a specific page, what's next to get into the first page of google search? Again I'm sorry for asking, I feel like I need a step by step dummy guide that can help me achieve a goal.

To get to the first page you're going to have to start a link building campaign. Links are a way of getting Google's attention by grabbing them by the throat.

Whatever the number 1 position links has, you're going to have to match and exceed. You can scrape your own linkslist, buy someone else's list or have a BST provider build one for you.
