I have been reading forum posts here for the past few days and have seen quite a few where it appears people are struggling...So here's a 'method' for those of you who have yet to make any money, and anybody who just needs some motivation.
I learned about affiliate marketing about 4 years ago, and like most people who do, I went straight to thinking: "My god, I'm going to be rich in months!"...Then the harsh reality struck and I realized that affiliate marketing is a lot harder than just spamming links on forums and classifieds sites. Nevertheless, I stuck with it. Throughout the 4 years I've been through just about what everybody has been through: the frustration and feeling like you should give it up because you can't make it work, doubts that anybody actually makes money on affiliate marketing, surprise and joy when you get your first sale, and of course, the thrill of getting your first paycheck!
I've only made maybe about $800 total in affiliate marketing in 4 years, but I have treated it as more of a hobby and a way to make a few extra bucks here and there instead of a business. I am now treating it more like a business, and my revenues are increasing quickly. The image below is about 2 - 3 weeks from just one method.
If you treat affiliate marketing like a hobby, you are going to get hobby results; if you treat it like a business or a job, you will get business-like results!
Let me give you some advice, in the form of quotes from famous authors, that I've been following for the past few months since I started to take affiliate marketing more seriously:
and the most important one of all:
Am I making tons of money on affiliate marketing? No, not yet.
Will I continue to work on it until I am? Yes.
The moral I'm trying to get to in this post is that no method or even the best spoon-feeding by a super-affiliate will ever be as good as perseverance.
tl;dr: Treat your affiliate marketing as a BUSINESS not as a HOBBY or "Just a way to make a few bucks here and there". Do NOT give up under ANY circumstance until you succeed.

"For all of the most important things, the timing always sucks. Waiting for a good time to quit your job? The stars will never align and the traffic lights of life will never all be green at the same time. The universe doesn't conspire against you, but it doesn't go out of its way to line up the pins either. Conditions are never perfect. "Someday" is a disease that will take your dreams to the grave with you." --Timothy Ferris; The Four Hour Work Week
"Before success comes in any man's life, he is sure to meet with much temporary defeat, and, perhaps, some failure. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to quit. That is exactly what the majority of men do. More than five hundred of the most successful men this country has ever known told the author their greatest success came just one step beyond the point at which defeat had overtaken them." --Napoleon Hill; Think and Grow Rich
"Failure is a trickster with a keen sense of irony and cunning. It takes great delight in tripping one when success is almost within reach" --Napoleon Hill; Think and Grow Rich
"Do not wait: the time will never be 'just right'. Start where you stand, and work whatever tools you may have at your command and better tools will be found as you go along." --Napoleon Hill; Think and Grow Rich
and the most important one of all:
"Winners never quit and quitters never win" --Napoleon Hill; Think and Grow Rich
