Newbie Facebook Groups question

Hi Guys
Looking for a bit of help.

I have a personal FB account with about 100 friends (genuine friends and family).

I want to start a group to send promo messages to- my friends are not gonna be very interested in my group subject (I doubt) so how to get it off the ground??

I can open a new account, but how to get people to join as a friend when they don't know me- I don't get requests from people I don't know, and if I did I would ignore them.

Sorry this is probably very elementary stuff, but I don't see a solution.

A great source of friends I have seen is those mafia email add lists. You go in to those groups, find the emaill lists they have then use the Facebook "Invite to Facebook" feature with those lists to get tons of friends. I got about 1,000 friends in about 4 days. Just be careful not to send too many requests or facebook will get suspicious.

Where do you find the email list they have?
Or which selected groups do you look for?

in fb search just key in

add me mafia
mafia email list

then check out the forum thread which says latest add me emails or add emails thread and copy all to your friend list

PS: you can try it with any games in facebook that has a huge following
poker, mafia, vampire, zynga games mostly
