Newbie Asks Affiliate Program Direction

Hi Everybody:

Very new to BHW and fully appreciate the information shared by everybody here. I've learned so much and am having the time of my life learning more and more.

But, I need some advice please. I've purchased a solo ad that is going out on Wednesday of this week. The list my ad is being sent to is very interested in getting traffic for themselves.

I've looked at Clicbank to find a product that will fit their needs but wanted rather to come here to ask for your best advice (first hand experience would be most appreciated) on an excellent affiliate product to offer this list.

I am most interested in:

1. Quality product that meets the needs of its readers or users
2. Producing product
3. Product with affiliate materials (ads, banners, etc.)

yeh sure, ill give you the exact product that would work best....

figure it out for yourself u lazy bugga. go look up how to determine if a product is worth promoting.

That's kind of a wide question... in what topic are you advertising... are you targetting?

You have to do some researching here, but I will try to help you out.

First, find a niche, use google keywords, get something that is 100,000 in traffic and go for it since the competition will not be as high.
Next, find an affiliate offer, go to offervault or cbtrends, then, you need to get some plugins if you want to make a wordpress blog or if you want just a regular lander then you xsitepro that will do. Finally, promote the hell out of it, yt,yahoo answers, fb,twitter, whatever means necessary and whatever your budget can afford. Sorry this is so rush but not feeling great so hope this will do. Lastly, most people are not going to tell you what is great, hot, selling, stuff like that cause like them they have spend time using a white board, pen and paper and notepad looking and studying stuff on this forum. Thank you too for helping me with some imporant information. I realize that not many want to "give" people information. The wonderful thing though is that this is a sharing forum. I see that in people like Wizgizmo who shares gargantuan amounts of "stuff" continuously. I mention only him because he's the one and only that I can remember at this time.

Thankfully, there are others and I am grateful for those who share so freely. I am also one of those and will share whatever I have when I get something of value to share.

Again, thank you so much for your help. I will follow your directions and get moving. I have less than 12 hours to get my ad submitted so must rush. I just don't want to send people to something that wlll give them more fluff and not enough substance for the amount they'll be asked to pay.

What I think you should do is to check the products in the e-marketing/e-business section of CB then go to the download section here and see if it has been shared here. Download the products YOURSELF and review them to get a better understanding of them. Ask yourself, is it a quality product that provides real value to your subscribers or just some over-hyped junk? From experience with CB products in the e-marketing section alot of them are overhyped. However, the ones with high gravity sell well. Just because a product sells well doesn't mean its quality. You have to do the research yourself to make this determination. For me personally, I don't promote using a list so I don't really care about quality but whether the product sells. For someone with a treasured email list of subscribers, you need to be more careful about what you promote them or you will find your subscribers "unsubscribing" from your list. Therefore, DO YOUR RESEARCH.

Thanks for your answer. I fully appreciate your sentiment and thanks loads for the instruction. Makes huge sense and I'm on it.

As this list is not mine I want to be quadruplelly (don't know if that's a word) careful to give over-the-top value to these people. The list owner has taken great pains and time to build their list; far be it from me to destroy the trust they've built and I surely want to build trust with the list owner myself.

I know this probably isn't what you're looking for, but if you can't find the exact product.. Do a joint venture with someone or pay a freelancer to write it, then get it up running in Clickbank. That way you'll be able to tailor it to your advertising needs and the like, and you'll make more cash in the end.
If not, I know this sucks to hear, but I don't think anyone here is going to go through the whole CB marketplace looking for a product just so you can sell it.. It would take a while and they wouldn't get anything in return. I'm just stating a fact here, so please don't mind. What I do suggest, though, is that you read a few topics here on CB and find some guides on it so you'll know what WILL work and sell. Then, browse through the CB marketplace yourself and find the perfect thing. Do split testing between a few products that look good.

Thanks Cloaks. I don't mind hearing the truth; it's just nice when it is stated as you have done. Goes down better and you don't come away feeling like a low-life. So, thanks again.

I will offer a product soon but the criteria I operate by is that I have to "know something of value" before I write and offer something. Simply put, I ain't there yet in the IM world. I've bought so many things and found out later that the writer knew about 1 cent more than I did which of course made me furious. Wasted money and wasted time equates to wasted energy! UUUgggghhhh!!

So yes, I agree. No, I didn't want anyone to look stuff up for me; what I wanted is honest opinions on what IM traffic products others have encountered that were of value to themselves and others. That would help to decrease the time and since I am coming to trust the BHW members who share I just simply wanted some direction.

Everyone who has answered so far has given some good information and since I really am a newbie looking for direction and instruction, I really am thankful for everyone's input. These thoughts are helping to educate me on what works and what doesn't.
