Joined BHW the other day. Right now, I'd class myself as a "non-starter" affiliate. This time last year, I agreed to build a large branded site on WP for a friend thinking it would be easy. I told her I'd get it done within a week, no problem. Of course, I soon realised I didn't have a clue... in the event, I pushed on with a couple of web tutorials and managed it within 6 weeks. Having just been laid off and at a loose end, I realised I was onto something when I read that I could actually make money from building my own sites and optimising them - something of a revelation. I learned about the affiliate world and enthusiastically stocked up on Kindle books. But months have gone by, and I'm not moving forward. It's crunch time; money's running out, and I need to get at least one of my sites on the road to success within the next 6 months. Currently, I'm struggling to get the planning process streamlined (I always get gripped by fear - am I doing something wrong? Missing something out?) and often find myself stuck in a cycle of endless content revisions. I have tons of ideas but get bogged down when implementing them, so I'm hoping the forum will give me a much needed sense of perspective, and that I can contribute something useful here too!
