Newb question

So I'm a total newb to SEO and I'm just looking to earn a little side income. I know how unreal it is to expect to replace my salary.

Anyway, I'm looking at all the different ways to earn money online and some are intimidating and some seems simple. I want to start simple and see how things go.

So, here is my clickbank strategy, I'd love to get some feedback from you pros and I'd appreciate any advice you might have.

-Okay, I dig around on clickbank until I find an affiliate I like.

-Once I do, I then try to get a domain name similar to that affiliate.

-Then I shoot over to wordpress. Start up a blog under my newly purchased domain name and maybe spring for a nice theme instead of the stock free ones.

-Head over to a PLR site and buy a couple dozen articles related to my affiliate, use some to build up my blog.

-Use the other PLR articles and head over to article sites like ezine or squidoo. Link back to my blog from those articles.

-Find discussion forums related to affiliate. Try to link to my blog from there (some forums don't allow links.)

What do you think? Since this is my first attempt, I want to try to spend as little as possible. I know I could backlink with UAW, but that's kind of expensive right now. With the above plan, it should only cost me about $100 and I'm willing to sacrifice that much if this doesn't work out.

That sounds like a reasonable plan. Make sure you pick a quality product with high gravity.

depends are you doing a review site for a clickbank product or a content site about the problems that the cb can fix? Personally I would go for a content site rather than a pure review, then you can always easily swap cb products if one is not working out. With a content site you want a name that relates to the problem you are solving

Do not use the free blogs at wordpress.com. Its not easy to add affiliate links to your blog, the blog can get deleted, you have very little control over it.

Instead go buy hosting. Most hosting companies have wordpress on one click install. Really easy to do and you have complete control over your site.

Make sure you rewrite any of the PLR articles you use other wise your content will be the same as everyone else who bought that pack.

Personally I'd avoid ezine and use other web2 sites like squidoo, blogger, the free blogs at wordpress.com ( its good to use this site now as you are only going to be linking back to your money site, not using it for affiliate links)

Plan seems ok, except for the PLR stuff. You would be better off looking into some of the article writing services right here on the forum. Also, you are likely going to need more than some forum links to rank your site. There are many threads on here about using fiverr gigs to rank sites.

Your Plan is good. yes, i agree with themidiman, you better buy new article than buy PLR. Or if you don't want to, you can rewrite the PLR using your own hand.

sounds good but don't just do 1 site I would diversify too so you don't just count on 1 site becasue it takes time to build it and any income also. Consider trying additional venues
