When buying expired domains do you recommend purchasing a link preserving tool so your site doesn't lose its pr when you change the content?
What are most people doing to avoid this?

There is no such thing as a link preserving tool

Content got nothing to do with links

You lose link juice when the incoming links are deleted; it?s not something that you can stop/prevent
