Newb here lookin for advice on where to start

I have a website that I wanted to drive traffic to, it is an image site that also posts some news/articles.

From what Ive read, people basically will run as many accounts as they can running proxies through a prog like tweet attack and just automate all of their posts? is that the basic gist of it?

I am willing to pay for proxies, but am kind of lost on where to start. Do they always get banned and you have to constantly switch?

How many accounts should I have going at once? And I assume you need a proxy for each account?

Any advice on which proxies and software are the best value for the $$$ and any other tips on starting off I would really appreciate it.

Also, are you trying to amass followers on these accounts? Or simply do a lot of hashtagging with links?
