new youtuber interested in staying white hat with adsense

I started a youtube channel last month, in an instruction/diet/cooking niche. I have it monetized with adsense, and have submitted a few videos to related facebook groups, and a few social networks.

my traffic is ok for a starter. I've got about 13 videos that I've done and been pimping out, I've got two videos with over 700 views, but most are around 100.

I update about once a week, some times twice. I also created a blogger with adsense that has the videos embedded.

adsense tho, it doesnt make sense to me. I've made like 6 bucks lol. and i have no idea how CPM is calculated, i have one video that the cpm is like 98, but it's not even the video with the most views or highest retention. I don't even know why i made what money i did from that vid.

I was just wondering what i can do to make things better? to drive traffic and to make my adsense revenues go up.

I wanna eventually start making bank.

I want to stay completly white hat, no shadey dealings, because i don't want to get the adsense account banned. I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to youtube.

Any and all advice is appreciated, and links to articles on what I should be learning too.

stay Whitehat as much you want .. Adsense will fuck you over sooner or later....

You need to churn out more content - Be engaging as possible and users will subscribe. =)
