    Hello guys,
so i just linked a domain name to an online store i have on shopify,
as soon as i used it on one of my pages, whenever i click on the link i get the verification step before accessing the website.
Is this a common thing? I didn't spam it at all i used it once on my own page.
was planning on promoting via fb ads but i guess that would be useless.
    Anyone experienced the same?
    Thanks.

A year before I was posted mylikes links on several fb accounts, long time everything goes well and suddenly when click to any link (I was have several domains), that verification appears, even i try to short link or use different domain. I was search what it could be but not find. Couple weeks after that all back to normal and never again have such a situation. My personal thinking is that could be something with spam (fb thinks that you spaming), or some with destination website (like there is something on it what fb don't like).

PS: Also I have experience with new domains and fb. When post with new domain couple of times (as you said no spam), they block it. And after some time (in my experience month,two...) can use them regulary.

The domain extension is the cause for this. Use a .com and you will be fine.

Just use .com domain for your shopify store and you will be fine.
