New Website - Starter Link Building

Hi there,
I'm looking at some suggestions.
New website/domain ~ 2 weeks with 10 articles on it - the articles are well written in a tech/software niche where i'm an expert on. This website si not created for money making but more for social proof in my niche where i create articles based on my knowledge. Sharing on social media related groups works for some traffic, but i want some google exposure - what will you recommend for a site like this?

Why not SEM? SEO takes a lot of time, especially on new domains. SEM will help immediately.

That s an idea - but for the long term - I don't know if it will work and how much I will need to invest vs. bringing that money into SEO.

if you want fast results,you should adopt Search Engine Marketing. SEO is time taking but its benefits are for long term.

Initially, I would focus on creating content at scale. Once you are out of the google sandbox then links are a good idea.

Also, high quality content will naturally attract links.

The thing is: Writing for Google traffic and writing for yourself is completely different.

If you want to get SEO traffic, the starting point is keyword research/topic research. Whereas you are currently writing on the topics you like (or on the topics where you have in-depth knowledge).

So if you are writing on medium to competitive keywords, there’s no chance you can rank with a new site (even with a ton of backlinks). The site has to age a bit and build traffic & authority over time to get any Google exposure for even the medium competition keywords. (There’s a 6-month sandbox period that prevents new sites from taking SERP rankings)

My advice for you is to start looking at low-competition keywords in your niche where the SERPs have some content gap. i.e. the first page has some results/websites where the content isn’t exactly in-depth or doesn’t satisfy the search intent entirely. Those are the topics you should go after if you want a chance to rank and get traffic.

Regardless, you should start with some “foundational” link building like profile links, directory submissions, blog comments, etc and NOT try any powerful methods like guest posts or niche edits (at least for the first 2 months). That’s because you need to mimic a natural link acquisition pattern, and most websites do NOT get featured on any other websites in their early days.

Hi, nice move! if possible, try to niche relevant traffic guest blogs with Few Gov Authority blogs also.

It is best to wait at least a few weeks before building backlinks to a new website. This will give the website time to establish itself in the search engine rankings before additional links are added. During this time, you should focus on creating high-quality content and optimizing your website for search engine algorithms. Once your website has been crawled and indexed by search engines, then you can begin building backlinks.
