New Website Question - Please Help!

Hey there everyone, I'm fairly new to the whole SEO scene and having trouble making a decision for my website.

My ''niche'' if you can call it that is game hosting with locked surveys, clearly it is relatively saturated but i feel that i can get my website to rank well for it. The problem is that I don't know what keywords to use, the main keywords for my site are all far too competative and certainly impossible to rank for (download video game websites). The websites that rank for these are impossible to overcome and i will solely be relying on keywords such as :

game name download free
download game name

The problem is that i will be targetting numerous keywords, a select few on each of my pages, but how do i properly optimize this and get my site to rank well?

When you go into a niche that's saturated like h3ll, and do not know how to out SEO 99.9873456% (kidding) of the existing webmasters in that niche on your own or by hiring top talent, then you should seriously rethink.

use the adwords tool to find new/easier keywords.

There are no easy keywords in the gaming niche. Unless you're doing SEO in some extinct language.

Perhaps you may want to use GKT to export out more keywords in relation to your gaming niche. I think for this niche if you wish to SEO rank will take some time.
