New Website. I am lost.

Hello I just recently created a website. This website is just a word press site where I review some products. I have absolutely no clue what to do to start getting traffic to my website. When I go to the SEO marketplace, pretty much nothing makes sense to me. From the threads I have looked up, everyone is talking about keywords and rankings and I'm just lost. Any help would be appreciated.

Keywords have search volume. You can get a general sense of what the search volume is for a keyword by using the Google Keyword Planner. Then you can check the competition with nichewatch or SEMrush. After that, take your most profitable, low competition keywords, and start writing articles/reviews on your website with the keywords in it. Look up a keyword density checker on google and paste your article into it. Try to keep your keywords at around 3-4% of the article.

To help your track your positions with certain keywords, you can use traffic travis or you can try this:http://www.whatsmyserp.com/serpcheck.php
Depending on your niche, you can figure out how you want to monetize:
Amazon products - good for review sites
CPA
PPC
Dropshipping

So when everyone is talking about keywords, that means I have to find the keywords to use and then start using them in the reviews that I write? And I am using Amazon products at the moment.

What that person means by links is backlinks. Which is a link to your website that is placed on another site with good metrics. Metrics = stats (Domain Authority, Page Authority, Low amount of Outgoing Backlinks, large amount of good metric incoming backlinks). It helps to build them in tiers such as: money site <tier 1 <tier 2< tier 3.

Yes, you need to have your keyword in your reviews. You have to come up with your own keywords unless you pay for someone else to do it.

Somewhere on this board there is a tutorial on how to get your site ranked for easy to medium keywords. It takes you through the whole process. Search for that and read it. You may not understand it all, but you will know the steps to build a site up.

Yes, or you can create them yourself manually or with tools such as Scrapebox, GSA SER, RankerX, and Zennoposter. All of which are software sold here.

I think you need to watch a couple YouTube videos explaining what SEO is, then come back here.

The average BHW member has basic knowledge in this, and methods posted here assume basic knowledge.

One key thing to note is not to fall into cheap massive quantities of links trap. One HQ link is much better than tons of LQ links. And very LQ links will actually hurt you.

Just learn the basic keywords.
Then you can master seo.
Seo is optimization in google with keywords and keyword ranking.
Use free tools like google trends

Backlinks are links of your site on the internet. For example when you see a site that says "check out soandso.com". That's a backlink. When you have lots of backlinks Google assumes you are a popular site since it is not easy to fake backlinks and this is how they rank you..

Yes, I am a newbie as you and also get lost among the huge volume of MMO here.
- My first MMO is Youtube partner: I uploaded video regularly but the problem is the traffic was very low and audience retention time is average 1-2 minutes. And they just clicked to google ads less than 5 clicks/day. I was so hurried at that time to make money quickly and decided to click google ads by myself, even I asked my friends to watch my videos and click the google ads too!!! I was very happy to see my youtube revenue increasingly day by day and even reached to 120 USD but suddenly at the end of the first month, Google/Youtube detected invalid clicks and deducted all my revenue generated from invalid clicks. Luckily, my google absence account was not banned. After nearly 3 months partner with Youtube, my daily page views is around 100-150, revenue from 0.01-0.1 USD and currently total revenue is only 11 USD. Can anyone help me to calculate how many days left to reach 100 USD to buy cold beer !!!
- My second try: I bought a host and got a free domain from Bluehost and created a website with WordPress. Now the problem is I find myself stuck in writing content for my web.

I think content is the most powerful. If you have good content on your blog/website, people will gradually read and spend more time on your blog/website

If you are new to IM and SEO you should read a lot first about what SEO means and how it's done. No one can you explain in a few words what is this all about...

I think you are the newbie in IM. You need to learn more about ranking strategy. So search on search bar that what you want to know. And check your ON site SEO which also much helpful for ranking your site.
BTW you can get backlink service from the marketplace. It will help you get rank in SERP easily.

It is good you took action. But I will advice you to read all the blogs and threads to understand what you are doing. If you spend a few weeks to read and understand blogging+keyword+seo, etc. And do it right, you will be making money within a few months, it will be much better than trial and error that could take you months or even years to see the first $.
